To help us answer quickly, include the app version (Settings › App Info › Version), your iOS version, the font format (OTF, TTF, or TTC), and what you saw at which step.
Please don’t attach commercial fonts or font files whose license forbids redistribution.
Frequently asked questions
Which fonts come with the app? Can I use them freely?
Starting with version 1.1, the app includes 16 fonts: Pretendard, Nanum Myeongjo, Nanum Pen Script, Do Hyeon, Jua, Inter, Poppins, DM Serif Display, Bebas Neue, Pacifico, IBM Plex Mono, Be Vietnam Pro, Zen Maru Gothic, M PLUS 1p, Smiley Sans, and Huninn. All are under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, so you can use them in personal and commercial documents (you just can’t sell the font files themselves). See each font’s copyright and the full license in Settings › Bundled Fonts › Font Licenses.
I deleted a bundled font. Can I get it back?
Tap Settings › Bundled Fonts › Restore Bundled Fonts to add back any bundled font missing from your list.
Safari says “Safari cannot open the page.”
The install profile is handed to Safari by a temporary local server inside SSEM Fonts. Switch back to SSEM Fonts, make sure the install screen is still open, and tap Open in Safari again. If you already tapped Done, start again from Install Font to System on the font’s detail screen.
The profile download is blocked.
Profiles can only be downloaded in Safari; SSEM Fonts always opens the link in Safari, even if you use a different default browser. If Screen Time or a device management (MDM) policy blocks configuration profiles, installation isn’t possible. On a work or school device, ask your administrator.
I don’t see “Profile Downloaded” in Settings.
Look in Settings › General › VPN & Device Management. iOS deletes a downloaded profile automatically if it isn’t installed within 8 minutes; in that case, start the installation from the app again.
The font is installed, but Pages or Keynote doesn’t show it.
Quit the app completely from the App Switcher and reopen it. Fonts are usually listed by their family name, which you can find under Font Info in SSEM Fonts. Apps that don’t support user-installed fonts won’t show them.
Will this change the font of my whole iPhone (Home Screen, Messages)?
No. iOS doesn’t allow changing the system font. Installed fonts are added only to the font lists of apps that support custom fonts, such as Pages, Keynote, and Numbers.
It says “Not Verified.” Is that safe?
That label appears because the profile is created on your iPhone by the app and isn’t signed with a certificate. The profile contains only the font data you chose — no network or security settings and no remote management. You can remove it at any time in Settings › General › VPN & Device Management.
I can’t import a font file.
Only .otf, .ttf, and .ttc files are supported. Unzip .zip downloads in the Files app first. Web font formats (.woff, .woff2) aren’t supported. If the preview says “Unable to load font,” the file may be damaged or in a format iOS can’t read.
If I delete the app, are my installed fonts removed?
No. Installed fonts remain as configuration profiles, so you can keep using them after deleting the app. To remove a font, remove its profile in Settings. Conversely, Delete All Font Data in the app deletes only the font files stored in the app.
Am I allowed to install any font?
Every font has its own license. Even free fonts may restrict commercial use or installation on devices, so check the license from where you got the font and install only fonts you have the right to use.
Are my fonts or personal data sent to a server?
No. Font files are stored only on your iPhone, and the install server runs only inside your iPhone (localhost). There is no account, advertising, or analytics. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How much does it cost? Is there a subscription?
It’s a one-time purchase of US$0.99 on the App Store (local pricing applies). There’s no subscription or in-app purchase, and updates come through the App Store.
