Privacy Policy
Effective: September 29, 2026
Levelupsoft Inc. (“we”) operates the iOS app SSEM Fonts (the “App”) and its information website (https://levelupsoft.com/SSemFonts/en/, the “Website”), and complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws. This policy explains what information the App and the Website handle and how. The Korean version prevails if the two differ.
In short: The App collects no personal information and sends nothing to us. Imported font files and settings are stored only on your iPhone. The local server that runs briefly during font installation works only inside your iPhone (localhost) and never communicates externally. There is no account, advertising, analytics, or tracking.
1. Information we collect
We collect no personal information through the App.
- There is no sign-up or sign-in.
- The App contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting tools.
- The App never communicates with our servers or any external server.
- The App doesn’t ask for access to the camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or location.
2. Data stored on your device
- Imported font files and the font list (name, file size, date added) are kept only in the App’s private storage on your iPhone. Starting with version 1.1, the bundled fonts are copied into the same storage on first launch.
- App settings (your app language choice) are also stored only on your iPhone.
- This data is never sent anywhere and is deleted when you tap Settings › Delete All Font Data or delete the App. If iPhone backup (iCloud or computer) is turned on, it may be included in your backups as Apple’s backup works.
- When you use Share Font File, the font file goes to the destination you choose (AirDrop, the Files app, another app, etc.). That transfer is your choice and doesn’t involve us.
3. Local server and configuration profiles
iOS doesn’t let apps add system fonts directly, so the App creates a configuration profile containing the font and installs it through Safari.
- When you tap Install Font to System, the App starts a temporary server inside your iPhone at
http://localhost:8765, and Safari downloads the profile from that address. - This server works only inside your iPhone and doesn’t communicate with the internet or any external network. It stops when you tap Done on the install screen.
- The profile contains only the chosen font data and its name. Installed profiles are managed by iOS and can be removed at any time in Settings › General › VPN & Device Management.
4. Website
- The Website uses no cookies, analytics, advertising, or external scripts.
- The one exception is the Free Fonts page (fonts.html): to show previews, your browser loads font files directly from Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.com,fonts.gstatic.com), jsDelivr (cdn.jsdelivr.net), and Naver (hangeul.pstatic.net), and specimen images from noonnu (cdn.noonnu.cc). Like any web request, those servers may receive your IP address, the time, and browser information; we don’t receive this, and each provider handles it under its own policy. Specimen image requests are sent without a Referer. - For security and operations (troubleshooting and blocking abuse), the web server (including its front proxy) automatically keeps access logs: IP address, date and time, requested URL, response status, and bytes sent, and depending on server configuration, the referring page (Referer) and browser type (User-Agent).
- Legal basis: Article 15(1)6 of the Personal Information Protection Act (our legitimate interest in service security and troubleshooting).
5. When you contact us
If you email us, we process your email address, your name (if given), and your message (including attachments) to answer you, and for no other purpose than answering and keeping a record of the inquiry.
Legal basis: Article 15(1)4 of the Personal Information Protection Act (acting on the data subject’s request).
6. Sharing, processors, and transfers abroad
We don’t provide or sell personal information to third parties, except where the law requires disclosure. Because the App sends nothing to us, there is no sharing, processing, or transfer abroad through the App.
Support email is received and stored with the following provider (processing and transfer abroad):
| Recipient | Google LLC (Google Workspace email), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA · https://support.google.com/policies/ |
|---|---|
| Items | Email address, name (if given), message content |
| Countries | The United States and other countries where Google has data centers |
| When and how | Transmitted over the network when we receive your email |
| Purpose | Receiving and storing support email |
| Retention | Same as inquiry information in section 7 |
| How to refuse | Don’t contact us by email. You then can’t get a reply, but it doesn’t affect your use of the App. |
The App is distributed through the App Store. Apple handles purchase, download, and device information under its own privacy policy; we don’t receive buyers’ personal information.
7. Retention and deletion
- App data: we hold none. Font files and settings are deleted when you delete them in the App or delete the App.
- Web server access logs: kept for one year from collection, then deleted.
- Inquiry information: kept for one year after the inquiry is closed, then deleted.
8. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, delete, or stop the processing of personal information we hold about you (such as inquiry information). Email the privacy officer below; we’ll act within 10 days and let you know the result. Data stored in the App can be viewed and deleted by you directly.
9. Children
The App collects no personal information from anyone, including children. If we learn that a child under 14 contacted us by email without a legal guardian’s consent, we delete that information without delay.

11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll post the changes and the effective date on this page. If the way the App handles information changes, we’ll announce it before releasing that version.
Previous version: effective February 12, 2026 (policy at the App’s first release). This revision describes the local server, Website, and inquiry handling in more detail; how the App handles information has not changed.
