Terms of Use

These terms apply to the macOS and Windows app SSEM MarkdownEditor (the “app”) that Levelupsoft Inc. (“we”) distributes. The Mac edition is distributed only on this website, and the Windows edition on this website and in the Microsoft Store. If you install it from the Microsoft Store, the Microsoft Store Standard Application License Terms also apply. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms.

1. License

• We grant you a non-exclusive right to install and use the app free of charge for personal or business purposes.
• You may not modify, reverse-engineer or decompile the app, or redistribute it re-signed (except as permitted by applicable law).
• If you pass the app on, pass on only the original, unmodified DMG or ZIP from this website.

2. Your documents

• You own the documents and diagrams you create with the app. We never receive or store them.
• Keep separate backups of important documents, for example with Time Machine or iCloud Drive.

3. Open-source components

The app uses open-source software including marked, Mermaid, highlight.js, KaTeX and CodeMirror; each component is subject to its project’s license.

4. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided free of charge and “as is”. We do not warrant that it will operate without interruption or error, and, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for indirect, special or consequential damages arising from its use (such as loss of unsaved documents), except for liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

5. Changes and governing law

We may change these terms; if we do, we will post the changes and the effective date on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
